Calculators
Calculators that show their working
Each calculator runs on the same verified, dated figures as our guides, shows the arithmetic beside the answer, and keeps what you enter in your browser, so you can check the working rather than trust it.

How the calculators work
- The same figures as the guides. Every rate, limit and threshold comes from one verified dataset, stated with the year it applies to and the issuer we checked it against, and each page lists its figures and links the guide that owns each one.
- The working, beside the answer. Each page carries a worked example and the rule in plain words, so you're checking a result rather than trusting one, and you can see which input moved it.
- Yours stays yours. What you enter stays in your browser. It isn't sent to Cadence or to anyone else.
- Arithmetic, not advice. These figures illustrate how the rules work, using published rates and thresholds, and they aren't advice about your situation. When Cadence prepares a return, a tax professional (i.e. a person, not a program) signs it.
